What happens inside you when something hits a nerve?
Bring one charged moment into focus. See what was activated, how you instinctively protected yourself, and what your reaction may be trying to show you.
One real moment. One clearer map. Designed for reflection, not diagnosis.
A trigger can feel like reality. But between what happened and how you reacted is a story about what it meant, and what needed protecting. See that moment clearly, and your next response becomes a choice.
Turn one charged moment into a clearer map
The Trigger Map follows the reaction beneath the surface. It helps you separate what happened from what it seemed to mean, recognize how you protected yourself, and identify what may have been needed underneath it.
What Happened
Separate the observable event from the assumptions and interpretations that followed it.
What It Seemed To Mean
Identify the fear, wound, expectation, or emotional agreement activated in the moment.
How You Protected Yourself
Recognize the automatic response you used to regain connection, control, safety, distance, or understanding.
What You Actually Needed
Find the feeling, need, boundary, truth, or next choice beneath the reaction.
Which part of you stepped forward?
Each archetype represents a necessary human capacity available to all of us. Your results do not show which archetype is better, stronger, healthier, or more developed. They show which capacities your system recruited most strongly in the particular moment you mapped.
King
The capacity for agency, order, decision, direction, and self-government.
Warrior
The capacity for protection, boundaries, courage, confrontation, and action.
Sage
The capacity for understanding, discernment, perspective, truth, and meaning.
Lover
The capacity for connection, desire, intimacy, belonging, and emotional recognition.
Caregiver
The capacity for compassion, support, repair, tending, and responsible care.
Trickster
The capacity for adaptation, flexibility, creativity, disruption, and new possibilities.
Your results describe the archetypal capacities your answers recruited most strongly in one moment. They are not a fixed or permanent type.

Why I created itTriggers were my doorway into deeper change.
I'm Aaron King, a relationship coach and graduate of an ICF-accredited Jungian depth coaching program. Triggers became my entry point into Shadow work: the moment when a reaction that felt entirely about someone else became a clue to an older fear, unmet need, or protective agreement operating within me.
I created The Trigger Map to help you slow down one charged moment, without excusing harmful behavior or turning your reaction into a diagnosis. Informed by Jungian archetypes, attachment patterns, emotional regulation, and relational coaching, the quiz is designed to help you build greater self-trust, clearer boundaries, and the freedom to choose your response more consciously.
Reflection, Not Diagnosis
The quiz offers a framework for self-observation. It does not assess or diagnose a mental-health condition.
Protection Without Absolution
Understanding why a reaction developed does not erase its impact or remove personal responsibility.
One Practical Next Step
The goal is not simply to name a pattern. It is to identify a more grounded response you can begin practicing.
Map one trigger. Find your next choice.
Bring one charged moment into focus. Discover what your system recruited, what your reaction may have been trying to protect, and one practical step toward responding with greater awareness, boundaries, and self-trust.
Free. Takes about seven minutes. No diagnosis or fixed labels.
